So today on Twitter, one Nigerian in Diaspora, David Onuoha asked Abike Dabiri-Erewa this question;

“No stable power, High insecurity, Low wages, poor infrastructures etc. what am I coming home for?”

And guess what Abike, SSA to President Buhari on Foreign Relations & Diaspora replied;

“But who is asking you to come?”

See the tweet below

When Abike was attacked by the Twitter world for being so callous and insensitive with her words, she quickly retracted her reply by adding this second tweet to the previous conversation.

“No one is saying come home.But rather,let’s all partner together.. It’s all about Nigeria”

She claimed that her first reply was part of a thread which continued with her second reply and her third reply. She is one smart woman. I will give her that. My dear, Madam Abike quickly covered up with follow-up tweets and claimed they were all part of the same conversation. Who takes hours to reply something like that?

Next time, she would be slower with her fingers, quicker with her thoughts or even probably avoid replying tweets entirely.

Do you think this was an honest mistake or insensitive of her? I will leave you to be the judge of that.

I believe Nigeria has never fully harnessed the collective potentials of all her tribes & will only work when we fix this! Let's not fail ourselves by losing sight of what matters most; our HUMANITY!
